The recognition of all forms and natures of knowledge about and for the Amazon is at the heart of the ‘A Concerted Effort for the Amazon’ initiative. With the aim of identifying opportunities to advance this knowledge and, especially, to make it available as a resource for the formulation of concrete proposals and actions for the region, we continuously pursue successive and theme-oriented approaches. Cycle 1 was instrumental in systematizing the document ‘An Agenda for the Development of the Amazon,’ and from the end of 2021, we began Cycle 2, focused on expanding the original themes and deepening concrete actions through the network.
