The unprecedented show Ventanias, directed by singer, songwriter and percussionist Anelis Assumpção, will have its first two free performances at the festival Baile na Terra (SP) and Resistência (MA) and celebrate Amazon Day (05/09). The meeting is an artistic exchange and will feature the presence of Djuena Tikuna, As Suraras do Tapajós, the first carimbó group of indigenous women, and Anelis Assumpção, daughter of Itamar Assumpção, with a presentation of four songs by the artist and others sung by the group. The show will be at 2 pm, on September 3rd, at Tendal da Lapa (SP), and at 5 pm, on September 4th, at Parque do Rangedor (MA).
According to Anelis Assumpção, Ventanias is a manifesto of exchanges, within a process of connections between different artists and pro-Amazon movements. “Our goal is to bring cultures closer together, awaken desires and involvement, facilitating connections, bonds and affections between cities and forests”.
