Brazil Climate Action Hub at COP26

November 04, 2021 - November 09, 2021

The Brazil Climate Action Hub is an important space for mobilizing Brazilian society at COP26, whose events will be broadcast live on the Hub’s website.

The Hub’s objective is to make available the necessary infrastructure to promote open and plural activities and debates on themes of the international climate agenda in the Brazilian context, during the two weeks of COP26. In addition to planning and organizing the programming of the debates, there will also be open spaces on the agenda for new demands, such as the unfolding of the negotiations regarding the progress of the Paris Agreement.

The schedule of the Hub includes, among other events, the launching of the Climate and Development Initiative: Visions for Brazil 2030, on 11/04; the roundtables “Union for Restoration: TNC, WRI Brazil, CI and WWF-Brazil together for the Amazon, Cerrado and Atlantic Forest”; and “Solutions for gaining scale for low carbon emission practices in Brazilian agriculture and cattle-raising”, on 11/06; the panel “The future of the Amazon: Reconciling agricultural production and forest conservation”, on 11/08; and the event “A Concertation for the Amazon launches at COP26: An agenda for the development of the Amazon”, on 11/09.
