(i)material

A land chaos illuminated by the intense lines of Uelinton Santana. Delicate lines by Hadna Abreu with watercolors of mycelia highlight the importance of education, a basic theme for everything and which is often invisible, like fungi. Paula Sampaio uses just two colors to print on the retinas the consequences and records of infrastructure, another central theme for a development agenda in the Amazon. Science, technology and innovation are also central in the abstract construction of Adriana Ramalho. Materiality and immateriality appear in the ancestral and hybrid collages of Laiza Ferreira to compose a dialogue about forest and energy. Energy that is a scalar magnitude combined with time and that also gives life to cultural manifestations such as the Cururu, portrayed by Rai Reis.
