Proposals for the Amazon region

An integrative approach

The first 100 days of the government:

Proposals for an integrated agenda for the Amazons

Understanding the Amazon as a central theme of the Brazilian political agenda and in view of the initial period of the mandates, in this election year, the Concertation is providing the Brazilian society with document “The first 100 days of government: proposals for an integrated agenda for the Amazônias”.

Based on An Agenda for the Development of the Amazon (launched by the network in 2021), this document includes enactments, concrete measures and directions to be taken by the provisional Federal and State Executive governments and by the National Congress, in the first 100 days of 2023.

Such proposals seek to contribute to a new institutional framework of the Amazon, with an integrated look towards social, environmental and economic issues, resulting from a deep listening process that included renowned experts and local representative in all debate spaces.

Here, you can access and download the full document or each of the 14 proposals and normative acts that were built from this effort, organized in 11 themes: Cities, Economy, Education, Food Security, Health, Infrastructure, Climate Change and Fight against Deforestation, Territorial Planning and Land Regularization, Mining, Public Security, Science, Technology & Innovation.

The document was released during the event “Amazônia é Solução” (Amazon is the Solution), held in partnership with Estadão and the Political Action Network for Sustainability (RAPS). Watch the full seminar:
