RUI MACHADO

A painter, composer, and poet. His was the first artistic participation in the Concertation’s space for dialogue.

Taking part in this meeting is an opportunity for Brazil to discover Brazil. I am from Amazonas, born to a mother from Amazonas of Portuguese descent and a Portuguese father. I am passionate about the Amazon and have always painted it, long before it became trendy.

When asked about his view of the Amazon, his answer is simple: “Those who love, care.”
