Karoline Barros has been sketching for as long as she can remember and holds a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from FAU-USP. Her professional work operates at the intersection of art and science, always grounded in the concept of territories and their forms of existence and resistance. Originally from Minas Gerais, she currently resides in Manaus, Amazonas, where she works—both in the capital and the state’s interior—for the Amazonas Executive Secretariat for Science, Technology, and Innovation. Deeply captivated by the Brazilian North—a region she has immersed herself in—she draws for herself as a way to consolidate the ideas, knowledge, images, and projects that shape her professional and personal life.
