With the theme &#8220;Pan-Amazon &#8211; Between Heaven and Earth&#8221;, the 5th plenary session of A Concert for the Amazon took place in June. The objective was to promote a dialogue about the challenges, opportunities, and interactions existing in the Pan-Amazon. The session featured guests such as Brazilian filmmaker, Eryk Rocha; actress, researcher and film director, Gabriela Cunha; researcher at the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), Jean-Pierre Ometto; researcher at the European Commission&#8217;s Joint Research Center (JRC), Ren\u00e9 Beuchle; the representative of Convervation Internatitonal (CI), C\u00e2ndido Pastor; the secretary-general of the Permanent Secretariat of the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization (SP\/OTCA), Alexandra Moreira L\u00f3pez; and the coordinator of ECLAC&#8217;s Sustainable Development Division in Santiago, Jos\u00e9 Javier Gomez.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 5th plenary of the year of A Concert for the Amazon took place on June 14.
