measurable impacts, and also have the potential for scale, empowerment, and permanence of the positive impact, and may also support public policies and practices of the private sector, academia, and <a class=\"c-link c-link--underline\" href=\"https:\/\/itinerariosamazonicos.org.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-stringify-link=\"https:\/\/itinerariosamazonicos.org.br\/\" data-sk=\"tooltip_parent\">Amazonian Itineraries<\/a> program seeks to promote the Amazon region in Brazilian schools through educational materials organized into curricular units and modules for inclusion in high school curricula. In addition, it conducts training processes for teachers, school administrators, and education technicians from partner school networks in the Legal Amazon region. <\/p><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-d127a673-645b-4b0b-9d9c-3311ac6a8bed\"> <\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-e1040b23-22a2-46fa-9fb8-57a1a5656177\">The curricular units are teaching and learning pathways that can be customized to the various curricular architectures of secondary education. They combine Amazonian issues and themes with the knowledge, methods, and specificities of the following areas of knowledge: Natural Sciences and their Technologies, Human and Social Sciences, Languages \u200b\u200band their Technologies, Mathematics and its Technologies, Life Projects, and Vocational Technical Education at the Secondary Level (EPT). <\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-165ec12c-4d46-417f-837e-2d4fdfa2dd97\"> <\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-60c6a185-3518-4c8d-bcbd-ebe12a2301c3\">The curricular units are organized into four themes: Biodiversity and sociodiversity of the Amazon, Geopolitics of the Amazon, Identities and cultures of the Amazon, and Economies of the Amazon.<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-d13b03a8-d306-42a9-9a71-cbb645fc6571\">More than 120 people, including young people, educators, representatives from education departments of the Legal Amazon&#8217;s school systems, and education specialists, collaborated in the creation of the material.<\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-dba2616a-2306-425c-844c-e24188e45996\"> <\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-e0368bdb-fefb-48fa-9031-9e6e6ed1590c\">The Amazon is paramount when we consider issues of sustainable development, climate change, and the appreciation of traditional knowledge that supports the preservation of the standing forest. The program also recognizes the plurality of voices and cultures that enrich this territory. Furthermore, the program&#8217;s principles are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN&#8217;s 2030 Agenda, creating conditions for teachers and students to see themselves and act as agents of transformation in their communities.  <\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-12bf45ae-2302-48c3-bae9-9b29304e0c04\"> <\/div><div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-9daf9ea6-14b2-4f94-9af4-f8a8d0acad9e\">The Amazonian Itineraries project is a joint effort of the Iungo and Re\u00fana institutes and the Uma Concerta\u00e7\u00e3o pela Amaz\u00f4nia network, in partnership with and with investments from BNDES, the Hydro Sustainability Fund, the Arapya\u00fa Institute, the Bem Maior Movement, and sponsorship from estudantes na compreens\u00e3o de suas identidades culturais e estimular um olhar cr\u00edtico sobre a realidade regional. Foi com esse mote que a professora de Filosofia Fabiany Melo, de Rio Branco (AC), trabalhou conte\u00fados do programa Itiner\u00e1rios Amaz\u00f4nicos com seus alunos do 1\u00ba e 2\u00ba anos do Ensino M\u00e9dio da Escola Professor Pedro Martinello. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ela prop\u00f4s trabalhar o contexto hist\u00f3rico e filos\u00f3fico dos alimentos amaz\u00f4nidas em sala de aula, o que apresentou aos jovens a sabedoria das comunidades tradicionais dos quais muitos s\u00e3o descendentes. Os estudantes pesquisaram e aprenderam sobre o cultivo e uso de ingredientes locais. Com a provoca\u00e7\u00e3o construtiva do projeto, os alunos puderam aprender e refletir sobre os valores locais, sua cultura, a pot\u00eancia da floresta preservada e a riqueza de seus povos. Desenvolvido em conjunto pela equipe docente e alunos do Ensino M\u00e9dio e da EJA (Educa\u00e7\u00e3o de Jovens e Adultos), o projeto teve como tema \u201cSociedade, cultura e meio ambiente: combatendo as fake news na constru\u00e7\u00e3o de uma sociedade sustent\u00e1vel\u201d. Como resultado pr\u00e1tico da aprendizagem, dois pain\u00e9is de not\u00edcias foram produzidos para exposi\u00e7\u00e3o na escola. Al\u00e9m de tornar os alunos protagonistas de seu pr\u00f3prio aprendizado, Manoel conta que a atividade possibilitou que a comunidade refletisse sobre o desenvolvimento da Amaz\u00f4nia a partir do territ\u00f3rio e de seus povos, desenvolvendo um olhar mais cr\u00edtico sobre sua explora\u00e7\u00e3o predat\u00f3ria e excludente, que n\u00e3o considera a exist\u00eancia dos povos origin\u00e1rios e tradicionais.
