Civil society, the private sector, and other subnational instances have increasingly participated in networks that gain a determining role in the definition of public and private policies in sustainability. The new organizations outline contributions to national projects, such as measures to combat deforestation in Brazil, and international ones, such as advocacy for governments to assume more ambitious goals for the full compliance with the commitments established in the Paris Agreement.
