Colors of the Future
An exhibition of perspectives that are already shaping tomorrow.
Seeds of the future are sprouting in the notebooks, in the colorful strokes, in the gestures that dream with a pencil in hand. The works gathered here are more than just drawings—they are sensitive maps of a territory seen through the eyes of those who inhabit it, who grow up among rivers, forests, schools, and affections.
This virtual exhibition is a joint initiative of Amazon Concertation and the Pará State Department of Education (Seduc-PA), conceived by Fernanda Rennó, head of the Culture division of the Concertation. It stems from the exhibition of the same name held at the Amazon and New Economies event, promoted by the Brazilian Mining Institute (IBRAM), in November 2024, in the city of Belém.
The exhibition originated from a contest promoted by Seduc-PA with the goal of selecting illustrations made by students from the public school system to be used in the department's educational materials. More than a selection process, it was a call to the imagination — an invitation for them to draw what they feel, what they experience — and, above all, what they desire.
The drawings also form part of the materials for the Amazonian Itineraries, which encourage students to recognize themselves within this perspective of a holistic and contextualized education.
Each line is a gesture of affirmation.
Each color, a gentle cry of hope.
Each work, an open window to the future.
This exhibition celebrates the talent and creative power of the youth of Pará, and reaffirms the role of education as a vital force in debates about the present and future of the Amazon.
These young people, with their small hands and broad vision, are already building pathways.
It is up to us to listen to them — and walk alongside them.
We invite you to visit this exhibition, composed of 23 works of art, each accompanied by an explanatory audio recording made by the student-artists themselves—making the experience even richer, more sensitive, and more moving.
